SAN FRANCISCO - Highlighted by a top-10 program mark from
Will Lohr, seven South Dakota State distance runners posted personal bests in California Friday.
Lohr jumped into eighth place on the Jackrabbits' all-time 5K list with a 14:01.45 5,000 meters at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic. He topped his previous outdoor personal best by more than 27 seconds to finish in second place.
Also at the Fanelli Classic,
Dale Johnson and
Eli Hall, both in their first outdoor 5K as a Jackrabbit, ran 14:29.86 and 14:38.63, respectively.
Sean Murphy bested his 1500-meter best by 10 seconds with a 3:52.27 Friday.
Emma Gonzalez also posted an outdoor personal best in the 5K with a 16:51.97.
Mya Kizer recorded a 17:40.84.
Nina Dawson clocked a personal best in the steeplechase - 10:54.67.
Eleni Lovgren had a 4:32.98 in the 1,500 meters set a new personal record.
At the Stanford Invitational,
Cody Larson clocked a 13:45.61 to finish 17th in the first section of the 5,000 meters.

The Jackrabbits are next scheduled to take part in the Minnesota State Open April 11 in Mankato, Minnesota.
