BEFORE SDSU: Marshall posted a 47-4 record for Lisbon High School en route to winning the Iowa Class 1A state title at 152 pounds during his senior season ... of his 47 wins, 25 were by fall ... also helped lead Lisbon to a state duals title and runner-up finish at the state tournament ... previously wrestled for Bishop Manogue High School in Reno, Nevada, where he recorded a fourth-place finish at the Class 4A state tournament in the 138-pound weight class as a junior ... his family relocated to Iowa following his prep junior campaign and he quickly broke into the Iowa wrestling scene by notching a second-place finish in Greco-Roman competition and placing third in freestyle at the state championships during the 2019 summer club season
