Kyle Saddler is in his second season with the Jackrabbit football program, serving as offensive quality control.
Â
Saddler has moved into the coaching profession after a highly successful playing career down the road at Augustana University in Sioux Falls. He was the team’s starting quarterback for three full seasons and helped lead the Vikings to the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference title in 2021 — the program’s first conference championship in more than 60 years.
Â
A first-team all-conference honoree and an honorable mention All-America selection in 2021, Saddler finished his collegiate career with more than 10,000 yards passing and more than 100 total touchdowns. He later signed a contract with the Alabama Airborne of the upstart Major League Football.
Â
Saddler returned to the Augustana football team as a volunteer coach during the 2022 season, where he assisted the offensive coaching staff and worked with the team’s quarterbacks. He also completed his Master of Business Administration degree after previously earning bachelor’s degrees in business administration and sport management. As an undergraduate student, he interned with the Frisco Bowl and New Mexico Bowl, which were both played in his hometown of Frisco, Texas, at the conclusion of the 2020 season.
