Eric will challenge for a spot in the SDSU secondary this season ... was named Scout Defense Player of the Week for his efforts leading up to game against North Dakota State during redshirt season in 2009
BEFORE SDSU
Was perhaps the most decorated player in the
2009 recruiting class, earning all-area honors four times and first-team
all-state recognition his sophomore through senior seasons ... led Pierce High
School to state titles in 2007 and 2008 ... a two-year selection as captain of
the Class C1 all-state team, he was named to the Lincoln Journal Star 2008
Super State Second Team as a running back after setting a Class C1 record with
86 career touchdowns ... also recorded nine interceptions on defense ...
qualified for the state track and field meet four times in the sprints ... was
a first-team all-state selection in basketball as a junior and second-team
honoree by the Lincoln Journal Star as a senior ... honor roll student and
member of the National Honor Society
