Cole Kukowski joined the sports information staff at South Dakota State in June, 2013, and serves as the primary contact for Jackrabbit wrestling, tennis and swimming & diving.

In his first year on staff, Kukowski coordinated nationally-recognized social media campaigns for Jackrabbit wrestling. The SDSU wrestling team won the Best of Brand Newcomer of the Year, as recognized by the National Wrestling Coaches Association and Elite Level Sport Marketing, while also being named as a finalist for the Best of Brand Gold Standard and Masterful Mission awards.

Prior to joining the Jackrabbit staff, Kukowski served as a four-year intern in the athletic communications department at his alma mater, Minnesota State University, Mankato. While at MSU, he served as the primary contact for Maverick wrestling and track & field. He also served as the primary contact for the 2012 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships.

While pursuing his undergraduate degree, Kukowski completed a two-year public relations internship with the Minnesota Vikings. During his time with the Vikings, he worked two training camps, along with working home games and the 2011 and 2012 NFL Drafts.

A native of Lewiston, Minn., Kukowski earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management and mass media at MSU and is pursuing his Master’s degree in Sport Administration at SDSU.
