Jenna Friedrich joined the South Dakota State University athletic staff as the Assistant Athletic Director for budgets in 2007.
Jenna provides supervision of the Jackrabbit athletic department budget and accounting staff and is responsible for verifying and signing off on day-to-day expenditures. She also helps coaches and staff build and maintain their yearly budget and ensures that all decisions are fiscally responsible.
Before joining the Jackrabbit staff, Jenna served as senior budget analyst for the state of South Dakota from 2005-08. During her three years in that position, she oversaw the budgets of various state agencies, including the Board of Regents, the departments of Social Services, health, labor and Public Utilities Commission.
As a budget analyst, Jenna reviewed agencies' yearly budgets and made changes, presented a fiscally sound budget to the governor, and lobbied the governor's budget to the South Dakota State Legislature.
A Brookings native, Jenna graduated from South Dakota State University in 2004 with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Business Economics and Spanish.
Jenna and her husband, Colin, live in Brookings with their two boys, Tane and Cooper. In her spare time, Jenna enjoys spending time with her family, cheering for the Jackrabbits and remodeling her 100-year-old farmhouse with her husband.
