Finished runner-up in the 400m with a time of 48.85 at the SDSU Last Chance Meets (2/16)... Assisted the distance medley relay team to a second-place finish with a time of 9:55.30 at the Summit League Indoor Championships (2/23).

INDOOR: Competed four times…Bison Team Cup (4/15/22) running a season best of 52.57 in the 400m.
2020-21:
OUTDOOR: Appeared in seven meets participating in the 400 meters, 800 meters and the 4x400 meter relay...set a new personal best in the 400 meters at the South Dakota Challenge with a time of 50.61...also ran another personal best in the 800 meters at the Sioux City Relays dashing his way to a 1:59.70.
INDOOR: Competed in five meets participating in the 200 and 400 meters as well as the 4x400 meter relay...recorded both season bests in the 200 (23.33) and 400 meters (51.64).
BEFORE SDSU: Captured the Class B 800 meter state championship in a time of 1:58.44, which also set a school record in 2019. A standout basketball player for the Beavers, Slaba was a dynamic scorer which led to interest from college basketball programs... despite the cancellation of his senior track season, he ultimately decided on track and field.
