OUTDOOR: Competed in seven meets all in the shot put...finished 30th in the NCAA Division I West Prelims with a toss of 58-03.00...grabbed fifth place at the Summit League Outdoor Championships with a mark 58-11.75...recorded a new school record at the Sioux City Relays launching one 61-09.00.
INDOOR: Took over as the school record holder in the shot put at the UND Open (1/30), then would go on to break his own record on nearly a weekly basis before finishing off the season with a personal-best hurl of 60-6.75 to take fourth at the conference championships.
BEFORE SDSU: The 2018 state shot put champion in South Dakota Class B - throwing the meet record and all-time record for Class B (60-02.25) ... finished the 2018 season ranked 61st in the nation in shot put ... finished fifth at the state meet in the discus (150-01.00) and was awards the Boy Gatorade Track and Field Athlete of the Year by Argus ... had season-best marks of: shot put (60-2.25), discus (150-06.00) ... was third in the shot put at the state meet in 2017 ... has season-best marks of: shot put (52-03.50), discus (147-06.00) ... in football 2017, he was the team captain, overall MVP, defensive MVP, and MVP linemen for the team ... was a member of the Aberdeen American News All-Area team and South Dakota 9A First-Team All-State Guard and all-conference ... in football 2016, was MVP linemen for the team and an all-conference selection ... on defense in 2017, recorded 86 tackles, 4 sacks, 4 tackles for loss, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries ... for his career - over the course of three years: the offense rushed for 6,132 yards, and recorded 157 tackles, 8 sacks, 11 tackles for loss, forced two fumbles, and recovered 4 fumbles ... played basketball during his junior (2016-17) and senior (2017-18) season - named team captain and all-conference both years ... the basketball squad made it to the round of 16 ... had 16 points per game in his senior campaign - leading the team ... graduated with honors, having a 3.83 GPA his senior year and a member of the National Honor Society.
