2024-25: Earned All-American honors for the second time in his collegiate career, finishing sixth at 174 pounds at the NCAA Championships, going 4-2 through the weekend…Qualified for the fifth NCAA Championships of his career…finished 5th at the Big 12 Championships, going 2-2 throughout the tournament with two wins over UNI’s Jared Simma … put together a 22-10 record, going 15-2 in dual competition … made semi-finals of NCAA Tournament at 174 pounds as the 13 seed, upsetting No. 4 Garrett Thompson (Ohio) and No. 5 Simon Ruiz (Cornell) … SDSU’s most valuable wrestler for the year with 58 dual team points… earned Acamdeic All-Big 12 honors and became a five time NWCA Scholar All-American.
2023-24: Finished fifth at the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships at 174 pounds (3/21-23), his fourth consecutive appearance at the NCAA's …went 5-2 in competition at the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships with two wins over Lennox Wolak (Columbia) and Gaven Sax (NDSU) ... one of four All-Americans at SDSU … took home the title at the Big 12 Championships (3/9) at 174 pounds, defeating NDSU’s Gaven Sax with a 6-4 decision … one of two Big 12 Champions for SDSU …ended the season 28-3 overall, going 15-1 in duals … scored eight of his 28 wins by technical fall … finished first at the Cliff Keen Invitational in Las Vegas with a decision win over Nebraska’s Bubba Wilson, 4-2 (12/1-2) ... went a perfect 5-0 at the Cliff Keen Invitational in Las Vegas … won 16 matches in a row after taking his first loss against Michigan’s Shane Griffith in Sudden Victory (1/4), his only dual loss of the season ... put up an impressive 15 wins over ranked wrestlers through all competitions.
2022-23: Made his third consecutive appearance at the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships as he continued to excel both on the mat and in the classroom ... ranked third on the team with 26 overall victories ... went 4-0 en route to 174-pound title at Daktronics Open (11/20) ... turned in 4-2 record to place fourth at Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational (12/2-3) ... reeled off six consecutive bonus-point victories in dual competition, going 2-0 with both wins by major decision in triangular against Northern Illinois and California Baptist (1/7) and adding four victories — two each by major decision and technical fall — at Virginia Duals (1/13-14) ... placed third at Big 12 Wrestling Championship by notching three consecutive victories after opening-round loss to Sam Wolf of Air Force (3/4-5) ... opened competition at NCAA Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with a win by fall over Alex Cramer of Central Michigan en route to a 3-2 showing in which he finished one win away from All-America status
2021-22: Moved up two weight classes to 174 pounds and responded by reaching the 30-win mark and making his second consecutive trip to the NCAA Championships ... won his first eight matches of the season ... placed fourth at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational with a 4-2 record over two days of competition (12/3-4) ... began a 13-match winning streak by winning all three bouts in a dual quadrangular at Northern Illinois (12/18) ... wrestled his way to the 174-pound title at the Southern Scuffle, winning five consecutive matches (1/1-2) ... closed the dual season with three straight bonus-point victories, winning two matches by major decision and one by fall, en route to a 13-3 dual mark (2/11-20) ... placed fourth at the Big 12 Wrestling Championship (3/5-6), then went 1-2 in competition at the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships in Detroit (3/17-18)
2020-21: Took on a starting role at 157 pounds ... compiled a 14-11 overall record, including a 4-7 mark in duals ... picked up first career dual win with 10-8 decision over Northern Iowa's Cayd Lara (1/10) ... turned in 3-0 record at Air Force Multi, including a 7-2 decision over the Falcons' Parker Simington in dual action ... began six-match winning streak with 12-8 dual decision against Danny Snediker of Utah Valley (2/13) ... posted team's fastest pin of the season, sticking Brigg Hoopes of Utah Valley in 55 seconds (2/13) ... earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships after a fourth-place finish with a 2-2 record at the Big 12 Wrestling Championship (3/6-7) ... opened national tournament with 3-1 decision over Michigan State's Chase Saldate before dropping next two matches ... following the collegiate season, won gold in the 74-kilogram weight class of the junior men's freestyle division at the Cadet and Junior Pan American Championships ... also reached the finals of the 74-kilogram division in freestyle competition at the 2021 UWW Junior NationalsÂ
2019-20: Put together an impressive redshirt season, finishing the year with a 22-4 record while competing in open tournaments ... opened the season with back-to-back third-place efforts at the Bison Open (11/9) and Warren Williamson/Daktronics Open (11/17) ... won the 157-pound title at the BVU Open, going 5-0 on the day (12/7) ... reached the placing matches of the Midlands Championships, reeling off five consecutive wins after an opening-round loss before placing eighth in the two-day event (12/29-30) ...closed his inaugural collegiate season by claiming 157-pound title at the Last Chance Open (2/22)
BEFORE SDSU: Compiled a 162-7 career record at Southeast Polk High School and won back-to-back state championships ... claimed the Class 3A state at 145 pounds as a junior, then went undefeated at 37-0 to earn the 160-pound championship in 2019 ... won the 160-pound title in Greco-Roman and placed second in freestyle at 2019 Fargo Nationals ... placed seventh at Fargo Nationals in 2018 in both freestyle and Greco-Roman
