BEFORE SDSU: Won five state titles and was named Class B Wrestler of the Year during a standout prep career at Tri-Valley High School ... his championships came at five different weights (106, 113, 120, 132 and 145) and is one of only four wrestlers in state history to win five state titles ... also was state champion in the 300-meter hurdles as a senior and took third at state track and field meet in the 110-meter hurdles ... member of the all-state chorus and National Honor Society ... nephew of three-time NCAA Division II national champion and Jackrabbit Sports Hall of Fame inductee Chad Lamer ... pre-chiropractic major
