2025-26: Qualified for his second NCAA Tournament in his third year as the Jackrabbits’ starter at 285 pounds … went 0-2 at National Tournament against No.4 AJ Ferrari and No.13 Spence Lanosga … finished sixth at the Big 12 Wrestling Championships, punching his ticket to the NCAA Wrestling Championships … put up an 11-13 record overall, going 6-6 in duals … picked up a big early-season win over No. 13 Koy Hopke (Minnesota) to seal SDSU’s first win over Minnesota in 51 years … placed 7th at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational with win over No. 27 Devon Dawson (NIU) … scored five wins with bonus points including four falls … fastest fall was 0:54 … 17 dual team points … Academic All-Big 12 Selection and NWCA Scholar All-American.
2024-25: Second season in the starting role for the Jackrabbits at heavyweight … qualified for his first NCAA Tournament, after being selected as an alternate in 2023-24 … finished third at the Big 12 Tournament after coming in as the seven-seed … upset the three-seed and five-seed, Lance Runyon and Juan Mora by major decision and decision respectively … put up 23-11 record overall, and was a strong point in the Jacks dual lineup, going 12-5 in duals … went 1-2 at the NCAA Tournament with a decision win over UNC’s Nolan Neves, 10-6 … 15 of his 23 wins were by major decision, including six by technical fall … went on seven match win streak from 1/10 - 2/7.
2023-24: Became the starter at 285 pounds for the Jackrabbits and finished seventh at the Big 12 Championships after a 4-3 decision win over Utah Valley’s Chase Trussell (3/10) … went 17-13 overall and 6-8 in duals … crowned champion at Daktronics Open (11/19) and finished second at the Soldier Salute (12/29) at 285 pounds … scored six wins by fall, with his fastest fall coming in at 2:19 … scored 28 team dual points for SDSU.
2022-23: Gained valuable experience by competing — and placing — in a handful of tournaments during redshirt season ... finished with a 10-6 overall record that included four wins by fall ... in first collegiate competition, went 3-1 to place third in heavyweight division at the Bison Open (11/12) ... recorded a fifth-place finish at the Daktronics Open (11/20) ... turned in a fourth-place finish with a 2-2 mark at the UNI Open (12/10) ... capped season by going 4-1 and placing third at the Soldier Salute (12/29-30)
BEFORE SDSU: Was a three-time state finalist and two-time state champion for Brookings High School ... compiled a 118-17 career high school record and went a combined 67-0 over his last two seasons en route to state titles at 195 pounds as a junior (32-0) and 220 pounds as a senior (35-0) ... posted a 27-5 record as a sophomore, when he finished as state runner-up in the 182-pound weight class ... placed seventh at 170 pounds as a freshman ... won the 195-pound title in the Senior Division at the 2022 National High School Coaches Association national tournament ... selected as the South Dakota state winner of the Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award
