2017-18: Put together a breakthrough season for the Jackrabbits by earning his first trip to the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships ... began season by winning 184-pound title at the Bison Open, defeating teammate Brady Ayers in the championship match (11/11) ... went 3-0 in dual competition at the Dakota Showcase, outscoring his opponents by a combined 46-3 (12/3) ... closed calendar year by posting a seventh-place finish at 55th Ken Kraft Midlands Championships with 4-2 record (12/29-30) ... helped lead Jackrabbits to home dual win over Wyoming with first-period pin of Chaz Polson (1/18) ... tied for third on squad with 12 dual victories and closed dual season with five consecutive wins ... placed fourth at Big 12 Wrestling Championship with 2-2 record (3/3-4) ... went 0-2 at national meet (3/15)

BEFORE SDSU: Won back-to-back Class A titles for Rapid City Central High School, winning the 182-pound division as a junior and at 195 pounds in 2015 … a six-time varsity letterman, he compiled a 189-56 career record, including a combined 89-1 mark his final two seasons as he went 49-1 during the 2013-14 season and 40-0 as a senior … his 189 career wins rank third in school history … three-time region champion who won 17 career tournament titles … also was a four-time academic honor roll selection
