2024-25: Filled in as the starter at 197 pounds while Zach Glazier recovered from an injury during his redshirt freshman season…put together a 16-10 record and a 6-6 record in duals…scored three wins by tech fall and two by pin…scored an early ranked win over Bradley Hill from Oklahoma at the Daktronics Invitational…took six bouts by major decision … finished second at 97 kg at U23 US Freestyle Nationals.
2023-24: Redshirted his freshman season at SDSU … finished 17-6 overall, going 3-0 in duals … co-champion of the Worthington (1/20) and Don Parker Opens (2/3) at 197 pounds … won all three duals by fall or tech fall … scored 17 dual team points through his three duals against Dakota Wesleyan, Northern State (11/17) and Kent State (1/12) ... rattled off an 11 match win streak to close his season, winning by fall or technical fall in seven of the 11 matches.
Before SDSU: Thomas earned three consecutive Class A state championships in the 195-pound weight class for Benson High School, going a combined 134-0 during his sophomore (38-0), junior (47-0) and senior (49-0) seasons ... overall, he compiled a 203-14 career prep record and first qualified for the state tournament as an eighth-grader .... placed fifth at 182 pounds as a freshman .... an all-around athlete, he also was an all-conference and all-district performer in football as a defensive lineman, as well as earned numerous all-conference accolades in track and field individually in the 400 meters and as a member of relay teams ... member of the National Honor Society
