2017-18: Filled a reserve role at 165 pounds ... posted a 4-2 record en route to fourth-place finish at season-opening Warren Williamson/Daktronics Open (11/5) ... wrestled in four duals, including squad's first two duals — versus Minnesota (11/17) and at Arizona State (11/26)
2016-17: Saw action at both 184 and 197 pounds ... opened his season by posting a 2-2 record in 184-pound weight class at the Cyclone Open (11/13) ... split duals while wrestling at 197 pounds in South Dakota Showcase (12/4) ... competed at 184 pounds at Midlands Championships ... closed season with technical-fall victory over Jake Godinez of SIU-Edwardsville in dual action (1/28)
2015-16: Served as understudy at 174 pounds as he redshirted during first season as a Jackrabbit … posted a 17-5 record in open tournaments, winning three titles … first tournament win came at the Grand View Open … also claimed individual championships at the Bison Open and Finn Grinaker Open … wrapped up competition season with third-place effort at the Worthington Open
BEFORE SDSU: Compiled a 201-35 career record with 92 pins for the Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg High School program … over his final three seasons he went 137-3, winning 46 matches in a season twice and 45 matches once with one loss each year … recorded a state runner-up finish as a sophomore and third-place finishes as both a junior and senior … also posted a second-place finish at high school Nationals following his sophomore year and was a Junior Freestyle state champion in 2014, earning a spot on both Junior and Schoolboy national teams
