Billy Hunter joined Jackrabbit Sports Properties in July 2024 as Business Development Manager. In this role, he develops and strengthens relationships with partners, prospects, and community members to drive business growth and support Jackrabbit Athletics. He also assists in NIL efforts, creating meaningful opportunities for student-athletes and partner brands.
Before joining Jackrabbit Sports Properties, Hunter worked in local government, where he managed facilities, built business partnerships, and developed programs to support student growth and opportunity.
A member of a military family, Hunter settled in Brookings as a high school freshman and earned his Sport and Recreation Management degree from South Dakota State University in 2018.
Hunter is active in the community, serving on boards including Bobcat Backers, the Brookings County Youth Mentorship Program, the Brookings Boys and Girls Club Advisory Council, and Connect Brookings.
