Isaac Aguirre joined the SDSU Athletics Department in the summer of 2025 as an assistant strength and conditioning coach.Â
Aguirre serves as the strength coach for the Jackrabbits' wrestling and softball teams, while he directly works with track and field's jumps and sprints groups.
Aguirre completed a two-year span as a graduate assistant with North Dakota State. During his time in Fargo, Aguirre supervised NDSU's wrestling and men's golf programs. He also worked with the track and field team's jumpers along with assisting basketball, baseball, soccer softball and remaining track and field groups.
Prior to his stop at NDSU, Aguirre spent a summer interning at Washington. He spent over a year serving as an assistant track and field coach specializing in throws.Â
Aguirre received his master's degree in health and physical education/fitness from NDSU. He previously earned a bachelor's degree from Eastern Washington in kinesiology and exercise science.
