Ryan Christy was promoted to Senior Associate AD for Development in February of 2026, having previously served as Associate AD for Development - a role he stepped into in the Fall of 2024 after being elevated from Assistant AD for Development in May of 2021. Christy first joined Jackrabbit Athletics in the summer of 2019.
In his current leadership role, Christy serves as a member of the department's senior administrative staff and oversees the comprehensive athletic development and ticketing revenue generation areas at SDSU. This encompasses leading capital campaign planning, major gifts, endowments, annual and sport-specific giving, premium seating, the Jackrabbit Athletics Scholarship Auction, ticket operations and sales strategy, and overall development office staff, alongside sport supervision duties for the men's and women's golf programs.
Prior to joining SDSU, Christy served as a Development Assistant with the Huskers Athletic Fund at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from June 2018 to June 2019. Before his time at Nebraska, he coached basketball and was a student-athlete on the golf team at Northwestern College. During the summer of 2015, Christy interned with SDSU's athletic development team.
A native of Orange City, Iowa, Christy received his bachelor's degree in business and sport management from Northwestern College in 2017. He earned his master's degree in athletic administration from the University of Nebraska in 2019.
