Ryan Christy was elevated from Assistant AD for Development to Associate AD for Development in Fall of 2024. Christy joined Jackrabbit Athletics in the summer of 2019 before being promoted to his previous role in May of 2021. Christy oversees SDSU Athletics Development in his current position, along with sport supervision duties for the men’s and women’s golf programs at SDSU.Â
In his role, Christy leads and oversees the Athletic Development program which includes capital campaign planning, endowments, annual and sport specific giving, premium seating, the Jackrabbit Athletics Scholarship Auction, and all development office staff. Â
Prior to joining SDSU, Christy served as a Development Assistant with the Huskers Athletic Fund at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from June 2018-2019. Before joining Nebraska, he coached basketball and was a student-athlete on the golf team at Northwestern College. During the summer of 2015, Christy interned with SDSU’s athletic development team.
A native of Orange City, Iowa, Christy received his bachelor’s degree in business and sport management from Northwestern College in 2017. He earned his master’s degree in athletic administration from the University of Nebraska in 2019.
