BROOKINGS, S.D. ? The South Dakota State women's soccer team defeated the Oakland Golden Grizzlies 3-0 Friday night at Fishback Soccer Park in the first ever Summit League game played by any SDSU program.
Kaitlin Justice, Jessica Heine and Chelsea Lira all scored their first goals of the season.
Justice started the scoring for the Jackrabbits with a goal assisted by Kellyn Farrell 17 minutes into the first period.
Heine scored the second SDSU on a penalty kick 26 minutes into the second period. Chelsea Lira scored the third Jackrabbit goal 36 minutes into the second period. Farrell collected her second assist of the night and third of the season on Lira's goal.
The Jackrabbits out-shot the Golden Grizzlies 14-10 on the night. SDSU had seven shots on goal and
Farrell led the Jackrabbits with four shots. Chelsea Goosen and Kelsey Worcester each had two shots for the Jacks.

SDSU goalie Nicole Lograsso had two saves and picked up the sixth shutout of her career. After the shutout Lograsso's goals against average is 0.45 for the season.
