The South Dakota State University baseball team will meet Southern Utah in the opening game of the Summit League Championship Thursday afternoon in Tulsa, Okla.
First pitch is set for 3 p.m. at J.L. Johnson Stadium on the campus of Oral Roberts University. Radio coverage on ESPN Radio KJJQ 910 AM and the Jackrabbit Extra will begin at 2:45 p.m.
The Jackrabbits enter the four-team, double-elimination tournament as the No. 3 seed after finishing the regular season with a 17-10 mark in Summit League play. Overall, SDSU is 24-28. Southern Utah, which the Jackrabbits defeated three of four games last week, is seeded second at 26-22 overall, 15-7 in league play.
Thursday's other first-round game features top-seeded Oral Roberts (27-13. 16-2) against No. 4 Centenary (33-17, 16-10) at 7 p.m.
The winner of the tournament will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
