ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The South Dakota State University men's swimming team won five of the nine events in an unscored, long course meet against Westminster (Pa.) on Monday during the Jacks annual winter trainning trip.
Freshman Kyle Ochsner won his fifth event of the season with a 200 freestyle time of 2 minutes, 11.47 seconds to finish ahead of teammate Ryan Willett.
Sophomore Jeremy Yacevich would also win his fifth career event as he finished the 50 freestyle in 27.02 seconds.
In the 200 IM, Andrew Martin clocked in at 2:27.70 to win his second career event and senior Matt Josephson placed first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:05.90
The Jacks finished the meet with a win in the 200 freestyle relay as Jason Garder, Yacevich, Jon Wendel and Mark Sandager posted a time of 1:52.13
SDSU's next meet will be at the HPER Center Pool on Saturday when they take on the University of South Dakota and St. Louis at 1 p.m. The Jacks will then take on St. Louis the next day at home starting at 10 a.m.
