The South Dakota State Women's Swimming and Diving team swept a double dual during senior day on Saturday at the HPER Center. The Jacks defeated the University of South Dakota, 161-80 and St. Louis, 135-106.
The first of six Jackrabbit wins happened during the event opening 400 medley relay where Jessica Ferley, Katie Budahl, Ashley Valdez and Alexandra Hoffman recorded a time of 4 minutes, .27 seconds.
Budahl would go on to win two more events; the 200 IM finishing in 2:13.49 and the 200 breaststroke, clocking in at 2:20.83. The senior has won all seven 200 breaststroke events she has participated in this season and has won 35 career events at SDSU.
Hoffman won the 50 freestyle for the third time this seaon as she finished in 25.01 seconds.
In the 1000 freestyle, Christina Gerometta turned in a winning time of 10:55.89 while teammate Kayleigh Boucher placed second at 11:06.90
Just like they began the double dual, the Jacks finished it by winning a relay. This time the quartet of Anna Howard, Rachel Musser, Boucher and Gerometta finished in 3:43.13
The SDSU women will take on St. Louis tomorrow in the final home dual, scheduled to start at 10 a.m.
