The South Dakota State wrestling team is set to host the first endowment match in the Jackrabbit Triangular Sunday when Northern State and Southern Illinois-Edwardsville travel to Brookings, S.D., to go head-to-head with the Jacks.
The meet benefits the Jackrabbit Wrestling Endowment with 100 percent of the ticket sales directly funding the long-term future of the wrestling program. Tickets for the event are $10 for adults, $5 for K-12 and SDSU students are free.
The Jacks face Northern State at noon and SIUE at 4 p.m. with NSU and SIUE going head-to-head at 2 p.m.
In addition to three duals, the event will also feature the SDSU drum line, an autograph signing session with the Jackrabbit wrestlers and the first 500 fans through the door will receive a free t-shirt.

This week's Competition Northern State Wolves – In their first dual of the season last week, the Northern State Wolves dropped the dual with Dickinson State 15-23.
Corbin Surat picked up a pin in the second minute of the 125-pound match and Ian Muirhead defeated DSU 9-7 in the sudden-victory period to put the Wolves up early in the dual. Blake Lundgren notched a 7-1 win at 157 pounds and returning all-American Matt Meuleners notched a 2-0 win in the heavyweight division.
Earlier this season at the Warren Williamson/Daktronics Open, hosted by SDSU, Meuleners finished second in the heavyweight bracket. He defeated his first two opponents by decision and bested his third opponent in the second sudden victory period before falling to Tucker Lane 3-2 of Nebraska in the championship match.
Surat and Donnie Bowden each picked up fifth-place finishes at the Dak Open at 125 pounds and 165 pounds, respectively.
The Jacks are 28-1 against the Wolves all-time.
Southern Illinois-Edwardsville – The SIUE Cougars opened the dual season last month with three-straight losses at the Iowa Duals. The Cougars dropped matches to Coe 37-6, Cornell 39-6 and Iowa Central 23-15 at the duals.
David Devine captured two victories for the Cougars at the Iowa Duals. The heavyweight defeated Coe's Alex Burkle 6-5 and Cornell's Wyatt Baumann with a fall in 1:54. Devine is 5-5 on the season.
Robert Cooney, 4-4 on the season, picked up the only other win in the dual against Coe with a 6-1 decision.
The Cougars picked up three-straight match wins in the dual against Iowa Central with Derrick Pousson, Steve Ross and Gabe Hocum but IC came back to win the last four matches to defeat the Cougars.
Pousson is 4-6 on the season while Ross is 5-6 and Hocum holds a 3-6 record.
Last week – Last week at the Northern Iowa Open, Dustin Walraven finished the tournament in fourth place.
Walraven, wrestling unattached, won his first two matches by decision before falling to Aaron Senzee of UNI 9-8 in the championship semifinals.
Moving into the wrestlebacks of the 141-pound weight class, Walraven defeated Luke Goettl of Iowa State by fall in 2:45 before falling to Seth Noble of UNI by decision in the third-place match.
Two weeks ago the Jacks traveled to Nebraska to compete in the Nebraska Triangular. The Jacks ended the day 0-2 falling to Bucknell 3-38 and no. 14 Nebraska 6-36.
Kevin Kelly recorded the only win for the Jacks against Bucknell, defeating Conor Sweeny 6-3 in the heavyweight division.
Aaron Pickrel and Tony Vaske each recorded a win over their respective opponents in the dual against Nebraska. Pickrel defeated Shawn Nagel 3-0, while Vaske found a 13-8 win over Mike Koehnlein.
