The South Dakota State women's soccer team is set to face neighbor South Dakota at 6 p.m. today at Fishback Soccer Park. The Jacks host Iowa State at 6 p.m. Friday at Fishback Soccer Park.
“Playing our third game in six days after going into two double-overtimes won't be easy, especially when you add all the emotions of playing an in-state rival,” said head coach Lang Wedemeyer. “It should be a fast-paced and exciting game as we renew competition with USD. It doesn't get any easier for us as we turn around and play a talented Iowa State team, who won't have played since last Friday, to end our non-conference schedule. We are really going to rely on our team fitness and depth in these last two games.”
SDSU starts the week with a 4-1-3 record after a 0-0 tie with Northern Iowa and a 4-3 victory over Eastern Washington last week. The Jacks, unbeaten in their last six games, are 1-1-1 at home.
