Six Jackrabbits scored in double figures and Brayden Carlson set career-highs with eight assists and five steals, as South Dakota State eclipsed the 90-point mark for the third straight game in a 93-60 win over Dakota State.
Chad White paced the Jacks, who led wire to wire, with 22 points. Taévaunn Prince added 15, Jordan Dykstra 12, Griffan Callahan 11 and Zach Horstman 10 points in the win, which boosts the Jackrabbits record to 9-3 on the season.
Dykstra also tied for game-high honors with seven rebounds with Marcus Heemstra, who tallied career-highs with eight points and seven boards, as SDSU out-rebounded the visiting Trojans 45-24, including an 18-9 edge on the offensive glass.
Luke Lamb led a trio of Trojans in double figures with 16 points. Cameron Crump added 11 and Jesse Bean 10 points, as DSU heads back to Madison with a 7-4 record.
In addition to scoring more than 90 points for the third game in a row, the Jackrabbits also shot over 50 percent from the field for the third straight game with a 53 percent effort on 34-of-64 shooting. SDSU found its rhythm at the free throw line as well, sinking its first 11 shots from the charity stripe, and finishing the night 16-for-20, 80 percent.
DSU shot 42 percent from the floor on 25-of-59 shooting, and attempted just seven free throws, making five of them.
The Jackrabbits return to the road for two more games before the holiday break, starting in Grand Forks, N.D., on Thursday at 7 p.m., for a rematch with North Dakota, followed by a game on Sunday in Seattle, Wash., at Washington. The Jackrabbits and Huskies tipoff at 12 p.m. PT, 2 p.m. CT.
