HONOLULU - The Jackrabbits Hawaiian tour came to an end on Sunday at the Malihini Kipa Aloha Tournament with a 3-0 loss to Longwood.
The Jackrabbits enter Summit League play at Centenary next week with a 2-16 overall record, Longwood improves to 15-5 with the win.
The Jackrabbits got the leadoff runner on base in four of the seven innings, but could not get a run pushed across the plate, while the Lancers scored two runs in the second inning to take the early lead, and then added a run in the sixth.
Devon Reick, Allison Huffman and Greta Stroh all picked up hits for the Jacks. Pam Nicholson got the start and pitched two innings, giving up two runs on two hits with two walks and a strikeout. Kori Seidlitz gave up one run on two hits with four walks over the final four innings.
The Jacks start Summit League play on Friday, when they take on Centenary in a doubleheader at 3 p.m. in Shreveport, La.
