The South Dakota State Univeristy men's swimming and diving team wrapped up its season with a school-best runner up finish at the 2012 Summit League Championships.
The men finished second with 640.5 points. Oakland claimed the conference title with 1,040 points.
Sophomore Chris Schreier defended his title in the 200-yard butterfly with a school-record time of 1:48.72, which broke his record time of 1:49.06 from last year's final.
Sophomore Wil Hogue finished fifth in the 100-yard freestyle in a school-record time of 45.75 seconds.
Schreier and Hogue teamed up with Phil Albu and Yann Desjardins to help break the school-record in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:04.15.
Kyle Ochsner finished fourth in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 16:06.33. Blake Yeager finished fifth in a time of 16:16.66. Kyle Catani wrapped up the top eight with a time of 16:52.01.
Shea Patrick finished fourth in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:04.57.
Phil Albu finished fifth in the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 1:51.80.
Head coach Brad Erickson was named Men's Co-Coach of the Year with Oakland's head coach Pete Hovland.
Albu, Desjardins, Connor Florand, Hogue, Clark Kocourek, Jack Morrow, Schreier, Patrick and Yeager were all named to the men's all-league team.
