Baseball stadium project under way

A project to install permanent seating at the South Dakota State University baseball team's home field began earlier this week.
The seating project at Erv Huether Field includes a combination of chairback and bleacher seating for about 600 spectators, as well as a new press box attached to the grandstand. Former player and 2011 Jackrabbit Sports Hall of Fame inductee Dave Lane provided the lead gift for the project last fall.
Completion date is scheduled for prior to the April 10 home opener against Mount Marty.
