South Dakota State scored three goals over a 12-minute span between the end of the first half and the beginning of the second half to defeat Oral Roberts, 3-1, in the opening game of the Summit League Women's Soccer Championship Thursday at Fishback Soccer Park.

The third-seeded Jackrabbits, who advance to the league tournament championship match for the second year in a row, improved to 11-5-2 overall. SDSU will meet North Dakota State in the championship match at noon Saturday after the top-seeded Bison downed South Dakota, 4-3 in double overtime, in Thursday's late game.

Senior defender Delaney Ratcliffe opened the scoring with a goal from 20 yards out from the center of the field with 3 minutes and 54 seconds remaining in the first half. Diana Potterveld and Julia Lam assisted on the goal, which came after a short corner kick.

Freshman Brittany Jensen tallied the next two goals for the Jackrabbits 2 minutes and 21 seconds apart early in the second half. Jensen attempted a game-high five shots as SDSU out-shot the Golden Eagles, 15-7, in avenging a loss to the Golden Eagles during their regular season matchup.

Oral Roberts made a late charge, getting on the board in the 85^th minute as Caitlyn Hanslovan scored off a corner kick by Ashley Martin.

ORU ended its season with a 10-8-2 overall record.
