Upcoming Event: Men's Basketball versus Mayville State (Exhibition) on October 29, 2025 at 8:30 p.m.

12/30/2015 5:23:00 PM | Men's Basketball
Off to their best start at the Division I?level with an 11-3 record, the Jackrabbits look to keep up their winning ways in The Summit League, which begins play Friday against Denver at 7 p.m.
After missing the last six games due to injury, the Jacks hope to get starting point guard George Marshall back in the lineup tonight, but expect fellow senior starter Jake Bittle to remain sidelined with an injury for the next few weeks.
With Bittle out, look for Keaton Moffitt to continue his roll as the utility starter, as he's started a total of eight games this season in three different positions. Senior shooting guard Deondre Parks missed the first game of the season with an injury, but started all 13 games since, and leads the team with 17.6 points per game as he closes in on 2,000 collegiate points between his two years at Iowa Lakes CC and two at SDSU. Â Â Â
The only two players to start all 14 games, sophomores Ian Theisen and Reed Tellinghuisen combined to average 17 points and 10 rebounds per game in nonconference play.
THE OPPONENT
DENVER PIONEERS (8-5, 3-1 Away): The Pioneers opened the season with a neutral site loss to Milwaukee, but bounced back with five consecutive wins for a 5-1 start. After a couple of home losses to Wyoming and Air Force, Denver won three more, but come open league play riding a two game losing streak, with a 74-58 loss at home to Eastern Washington and a 63-54 loss at UC?Riverside in its last game on Dec. 22.
THE SERIES vs. DENVER
The Jackrabbits lead the all-time series 7-5, with a 3-1 edge in Summit League play. The teams split the season series last year, with each team winning on its home floor. Â
