The South Dakota State men's swimming and diving team concluded day one of the Jean Freeman Invitational on Friday in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The Jackrabbits finished in the top five in multiple events.
Senior
Noah Batenhorst claimed third place in the 3-meter dive with a score of 304.90.
The team of
Christopher Rumrill,
Wyatt Rumrill,
Ben Sieve and
Tony Mikrut placed fifth in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:25.85.
Matthew Carpenter captured fifth in the 500 freestyle in 4:40.88, while Chris Rumrill placed fifth in the 200 IM (1:57.46).
In the 50 freestyle, Milrut,
Ben Johnson and
Geoffrey Longhurst placed fourth, fifth and sixth, respectively.
Wyatt Rumrill finished fifth in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 56.90.
Chase Petersen rounded out the top-five finishes with a fourth place mark in the 200 backstroke (1:52.57).
The Jacks resume competition on Saturday starting at 10 a.m.
