TULSA, Okla. – Oral Roberts collected 19 hits and scored in every inning but one, defeating South Dakota State, 13-3, in seven innings Saturday afternoon in Summit League baseball action at J.L. Johnson Stadium.

The Golden Eagles, who scored multiple runs in four separate innings, improved to 9-9 overall and 1-1 in league play. SDSU dropped to 3-15 overall and 1-1 in The Summit League.

The Jackrabbits started out strong, scoring the first two runs of the game on back-to-back solo home runs by Luke Ringhofer and Newt Johnson in the top of the first inning. Ringhofer's homer was his second of the season, while Johnson hit his team-leading third round-tripper of the 2016 campaign.

ORU responded with a four-run first inning, knocking out Jackrabbit starter Eldon Evans after only two-thirds of an inning. The Golden Eagles tallied six hits in the frame, three of which came with two outs, including a run-scoring double by Noah Cummings and RBI single by Sam Grellner.

Rolando Martinez delivered a two-run double in the second inning and Chase Stafford added a two-run double in the fourth as ORU built a 10-3 lead.

The Golden Eagles ended the game early via the 10-run rule on an RBI single by Trevin Sonnier, who shared team-high honors with three hits in four trips to the plate. Martinez also turned in a three-hit effort and six other ORU players notched two hits.

Ringhofer was 4-for-4, while Cody Sharrow was 3-for-3 as SDSU finished with 10 hits. Sharrow plated the Jackrabbits' run in the fourth inning with a single, driving home Tony Kjolsing, who tripled with one out. Sharrow, a senior shortstop from Jericho, Vermont, is 6-for-8 so far in the series with a pair of RBI.

ORU starter Logan Michaels struck out seven and walked one over five innings to earn the victory.

First pitch for the series finale is slated for 1 p.m. Sunday at J.L. Johnson Stadium.
