FRESNO, Calif. – The South Dakota State equestrian team's regular season came to a close over the weekend in Fresno, Calif., where the Jackrabbits fell in a pair of meets; falling 10-5 to No. 4 Baylor and 11-4 to No. 10 Fresno State.
The losses snapped a three meet winning streak and dropped SDSU to 4-8 on the season, while Baylor improved to 12-3 and Fresno State to 4-9.
The Jackrabbits got a pair of points in hunt seat events against the Bears, both over fences, where both Marielle Golden and Alissa Greenwald scored, with Greenwald earning MOP with a score of 81.
Nicole Seibold and Kelsey Swainston won their horsemanship points, while Raivenne Scott won her point, and MOP honors, in reining.
The host Bulldogs swept the MOP awards in the second meet of the weekend, but SDSU did get a two points over fences from Greenwald and Jacey Chorlton.

SDSU can now only sit, wait and hope for an invitation to NCEA Nationals, which take place in Waco, Texas from April 14-16.
