SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State pulled out a pair of heart-stopping wins in its first two Summit League Tournament games by a combined four points, gutting out a 73-70 win over Oral Roberts in the quarterfinals on Saturday and a 54-53 win over Denver on Monday in the semifinals.
The No. 2 seed Jackrabbits trailed by double figures in the second half of both games, but found a way to win, setting up a finals rematch with No. 5 seed North Dakota State, which advanced with an impressive 69-68 come-from-behind win over top-seed Fort Wayne in its semifinal match, where the Bison led for a total of four seconds. The final four seconds.
Redshirt freshman Mike Daum led the Jacks in both games, pouring in a career-high 26 on Saturday and scoring a team-high 15 on Monday. He also added a team-high eight rebounds in both games.

NEXT UP FOR THE JACKRABBITS
A win would give the Jackrabbits The Summit League's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament for the third time in five years, while a loss would force the team to play the waiting game. An at-large bid to the big dance would be a longshot, with a return to the NIT a possibility as well.
