TULSA, Oklahoma –The Jackrabbit soccer team qualified for the Summit League Championships with a 2-0 road victory at Oral Roberts Sunday while extending their win streak to seven games.

South Dakota State (9-4-3, 5-0 Summit League) is unbeaten over its last nine games, picking up the decision with goals from
Kyli Nelson and
Leah Manuleleua.
Bianca Madonia added an assist and matched
Annie Williams with two shots on the day.
Darien Poelstra led the team with three efforts, putting one on goal.

Maggie Smither worked her fourth consecutive clean sheet, stopping all seven ORU shots on goal to lower her goals against average to 0.89 for the season.

Brock Thompson said. "We have a ton of respect for Oral Roberts and the way they play. I loved the way our team defended and the composure we showed when going forward."

Nelson gave the Jacks a 1-0 lead midway through the first, striking from 20 yards out near the middle of the field past the keeper for an unassisted score.

Clinging to a one-goal advantage in the second half, State held off a charging ORU offense before adding an insurance goal in the 82
nd off the foot of Manuleleua from one-yard out, set up by Madonia's cross into the box.

Game Notes
- Leah Manuleleua has recorded a point in five consecutive games. She is now tied with Nicole Hatcher for the team lead in goals (six).
- South Dakota State matched its second-longest unbeaten streak in program history of nine (2011). The school-record is 10 consecutive games, set in 2008.
- South Dakota State secured a spot in the 2017 Summit League Championships, played in Fargo, North Dakota next month. The Jacks will play for seeding over the final week of the season. State is currently tied with North Dakota State for the top spot in the standings (15 points each).
