The South Dakota State equestrian team defeated Minnesota-Crookston 18-2 on Friday at the DeHaan Equestrian Center.

"We had strong rides in every discipline but there's always things to improve on," head coach
Ellie Wilkins said. "We came away with four MOPs, which was a good way to end the fall season. We will miss the three seniors we recognized who are graduating in December. I'm really proud of how this team performed this semester and we're looking forward to our double header in February."

On the Hunt Seat side, the Jacks won 4-1 in Equitation over Fences. Sophomore
Claire Garduno dropped a 79-65 decision over Mazie Pini en route to garnering MOP honors.
Matilyn Skinner defeated Megan Motter, 68-52 and
Jessica Martinez topped Rachel Johnson 78-72. Senior
Jacey Chorlton claimed the final point for State with a 74-58 victory over Monika Frame.

In Equitation on the Flat, SDSU swept 5-0. Chorlton upended Monika Frame 78-64 en route to earning MOP accolades.
Melissa Kerr won her final point of her career with a 66-60 decision over Selena Young. Martinez defeated Mazie Pini 77-59, while
Taylor Duerr dropped Rachel Johnson, 75-67. Skinner captured a 71-62 win over Megan Motter.

Mariah Wright topped EmmaRae Nelson 72.5-0 en route to MOP honors as SDSU swept Reining, 5-0.
Catelyn Hall defeated Katelynn Robertson, 68-67 and
Jordan Gates won with a 72. Madison Sullivan upended Whitney Fenna 67.5-62.5 and
Miranda Sullivan dropped a 68-67 decision over Madeline Drayna.

Rylee Streit captured her first MOP honors with a 72.5-71 victory over Katelynn Robertson.
Whitney Vesey topped Katie Warner 71.5-70 and
Mariah Wright defeated Whitney Fenna 72-66.5.
Jordan Gates claimed the final point of the meet with a 70.
