After recording a 4-2 record in the first portion of its spring break trip, the South Dakota State softball team remains in Clearwater, Florida this weekend for the South Florida Under Armour Invitational.

The Jackrabbits face Holy Cross Friday at 10:30 a.m. and Villanova at 1 p.m. Saturday, State takes on Central Connecticut State at 8:15 a.m. and Canisius at 10:30 a.m. SDSU wraps up the weekend with an 8 a.m. game against SIU Edwardsville.

Games Friday and Sunday will be at USF Softball Stadium and Saturday's game are at Eddie C. Moore Complex.

Sophomore
Ali Herdliska has started all 21 games and has a .297 batting average and a team-leading 19 hits and 19 RBI. She has collected seven extra-base hits and has a .469 slugging percentage.

Classmate Julia Anderson has 17 hits and 7 RBI while junior
Brittney Morse has 15 hits, including a team-best six home runs, and 13 RBI.

On the mound, senior
Ashlyn Bender has a 6-4 record with a 2.19 ERA and 32 strikeouts. Freshman
Abby Deane has a 3.88 ERA and a team-high 59 strikeouts.
