The South Dakota State men's and women's track and field teams will travel to Fargo, North Dakota, to compete at the Lyle Hokanson Classic Friday, Apr. 21 and Saturday, Apr. 22.

The meet will take place at Schlanser Track and Ellig Sports Complex and feature North Dakota State, North Dakota, MSU Moorhead, Mary, Northern State, Minot State, Bemidji State, and Concordia Moorheard.

On Friday, the decathlon will get the meet started at noon, followed by the beginning of the heptathlon at 12:30 p.m. The women's hammer throw will begin at 2 p.m. with the men's hammer throw to follow.

Saturday action will kick off with the resumption of the decathlon at 10 a.m., and the heptathlon at 10:30 a.m. Field events will start with the women's javelin throw at 11 a.m. with the men's javelin throw to follow. The Jacks were originally scheduled to compete at the Musco Twilight in Iowa City, Iowa, but decided to compete at the Lyle Hokanson Classic over concerns of the weather forecast in Iowa City.
South Dakota State student-athletes are currently leading The Summit League in five events, and currently rank in the top-50 nationally in six events.
