South Dakota State wrapped up the SDSU DII Invitational Friday evening. There were 22 teams with over 900 athletes competing in the SJAC. Many meet records fell tonight from superb efforts.

The women's throwing group highlighted the meet for the Jackrabbits, Sophomore
Micayla TerWee added top-15 finishes in both the weight throw and shot put. She finished fifth (44-06.25) in the shot put, notching a career best by 7.75 inches.

Freshman
Madeline Moorhouse also added a career best in the throws, recording third (44-08.25) in the shot put, her best by a 1-00.75 feet.

All of the women in the 800m competed in the event for the first time this year. Many of them are returning to form after the cross country season in the fall, except senior Jenni Scislow who running track for the first time after competing with the Jackrabbit women's soccer team for four years.

The men's 60m hurdles competed well with two of them improving their personal bests. Senior
Tom Bates finished ninth (8.67) in the prelims, making it his new season best for a short time. Not long later, Bates shaves off another 0.01 seconds to make his season best 8.66 in the semis.

Sophomore
Evan Hieber also notched a personal best. It's his third weekend in a row to improve his 60m hurdles time. It started at 9.49 at the beginning of the season before dwindling down to 8.83 in the prelims, finishing 16
th in the semi-final round.

Freshman
Gabe Peters added a personal best in the mile, notching 4:19.76 for a fourth-place finish. Fellow freshman
Michael Schwinghamer posted his first mile as a Jackrabbit, coming in eighth (4:24.99).
