The South Dakota State women's swimming and diving team defeated Omaha, 130-113, Friday evening at the Stanley J. Marshall Center Pool.
The Jacks won nine of 13 events to take the victory.
"It was a very good start to our weekend competitions," head coach
Doug Humphrey said. "They swam inspired and wanted this victory. They had fun and swam with confidence. Now our eyes quickly shift towards better swims tomorrow. Today was a big step towards where we will be at the end of the season."
Diving Dominates
- Emily Moore won the 3-meter with a career-best 290.93.
- Senior Courtney Trapp made her debut on the 1-meter with a score of 168.90.
- Quincee Simonson made personal-best times in the 1- and 3-meter with scores of 245.62 and 238.21, respectively.
