Final Results

The South Dakota State swimming and diving teams dropped their tri-dual matchups Saturday. The women fell 251-46 to Minnesota and 231-64 to Iowa while the men fell 241-49 and 248-50 respectively.

"Today was a day to compete against two excellent teams and test how we move forward," said head coach Doug Humphrey. "We had a good number of season-best performances. We learned a lot about where we are physically and mentally and we continue to grow and get better."

Women
Sprints

Tiffany Nguyen placed seventh in the 100 back in 1:01.41.
Kristen Davis posted a season-best in the 200 fly (2:11.77) and the 100 fly (58.57).
Sam Frigard swam a season-best 2:31.98 in the 200 breast.
Frigard also set a personal season-best with a 1:09.42 in the 100 breast.

Distance

Rori Conners swam a season-best 10:58.16 in the 1,000 free.
Emily Pincus placed eighth in the 500 free in 5:26.78.

Men
Sprints

Jared Miller posted a season-best 53.66 in the 100 back.
Wyatt Rumrill swam a season-best 59.74 in the 100 breast.
Joe Angerhofer set a season-best in the 50 free in 21.90.
William Bierschbach swam a personal season-best in the 100 free (48.74).

Distance

Damon Venner placed eighth in the 1,000 free in (10:24.46).
Trever Brenner swam a season-best 4:51.80 in the 500 free.

Relays

The women swam the 400 medley relay in 3:52.50, a season-best.
The men's team placed fourth in its first 400 MR of the season (3:21.91).
The women (3:45.55) and men (3:13.71) each placed fifth in the 400 free relay.

Diving

Mitchell Raihle placed seventh in the 1-meter with a season-high 285.90, good for ninth in school history.
Joseph Weber placed eighth in the 3-meter, scoring a 277.65.
Quincee Simonson placed seventh in the 3-meter (223.05) and ninth in the 1-meter (209.45).

Up Next
Both squads will swim in Sioux Falls, Nov. 2-3 against South Dakota and St. Cloud State with the women's side also facing Northern Iowa.
