South Dakota State women's volleyball coach
Nicole Cirillo announced the addition of four student-athletes on Wednesday. All four will enroll at SDSU for the 2020-21 academic year and will be eligible to play for the Jackrabbits next season.

"I'm really excited about this group of ladies! They are physical players that just want to get after it in the gym," said Cirillo. "They are skilled players that still have room to grow and really catapult our program forward."

Brooke Amann | 6-0 | Outside Hitter | Wonder Lake, Ill. | Woodstock North High School
Brook Amann is a Northwest Herald all-area team and Champaign New Gazette all-state second team selection. During her senior season she recorded 457 kills to finish with a career total of 1,356 kills. On Sept. 12 of this year, Amann reached here 1,000
th career kill. She helped her team to win regionals and is a 2019 Under Armour All-American nominee. Amann was an AVCA High School All-Region Team selection. In 2018 she was named the Kishwaukee River Conference Player of the Year. She has been named the Northwest Herald Athlete of the Month as well as the Athlete of the Week on three occasions. She tallied 484 kills and 83 service aces during the 2018 season. Brook intends to major in animal science.

Coach Cirillo on Amann: "Brooke is a solid all-around volleyball player with length, power and IQ. I believe her versatility to attack, defend and pass at a high level will have an immediate impact in our gym."

Kate Nelson | 6-0 | Outside Hitter | Clive, Iowa | Waukee High School
Kate Nelson is a four-year letterwinner at Waukee High School. She is a 2019 all-conference first team and is competing in the state tournament with her team this weekend. She was an all-conference third team selection in 2017 and an all-conference second team honoree in 2018. She has helped her team qualify for state back-to-back years. During the 2018 season she totaled 182 kills, 61 blocks and a .926 serve efficiency. Nelson is a four-time academic all-state recipient. Kate plans to major in biochemistry.

Coach Cirillo on Nelson: "Kate is an athlete that the height of her potential is still yet to be seen. She has experience on either pin and has gained a more consistent role as a terminator throughout her past club and high school season and I look forward to her growth as a Jackrabbit."

Meghan Haan | 6-0 | Outside Hitter | La Coste, Texas | Medina Valley High School
Meghan Haan is a two-time all-district honoree. During her senior season, she tallied 269 kills on a .248 hitting clip and added 33 service aces and 55 blocks. Meghan led her team to its first ever playoff win in nine years with 14 kills and four blocks in 2018. Playing club volleyball for the SA Magic, she helped the team qualify for 2018 National Volleyball Tournament. Haan also had much academic success as she was a four-time academic all-district honoree and earned academic all-state as a senior. She is a member of the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta Honors Math Club. Haan plans to major in pharmacy.

Coach Cirillo on Haan: "Meghan will come to us as utility player. She has been a middle most of her career but has just started learning both pin positions this past season. Her versatility as an attacker will surely be welcomed when stepping into our program."

Frankie Enna | 5-4 | Defensive Specialist/Libero | Kansas City, Mo. | Staley High School
Frankie Enna is a two-time varsity leterwinner for Staley High School. During the 2019 season she had 359 digs and 36 service aces. Enna has also experienced great success in the classroom as she is a two-time academic all-state honoree. She is also a two-time academic letterwinner and a National Honor Society member. In 2018 Enna won the Presidential Service Award. Enna plans to major in animal science.
