The South Dakota State women's volleyball team will travel to Purdue Fort Wayne on Friday and will welcome Omaha, Sunday, in the final weekend of regular season play. The Jackrabbits match in Fort Wayne, Ind. will begin at 6 p.m. CT/7p.m. ET. First serve on Sunday is set for 1 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Jackrabbits dropped a pair of matches on the road last week. State fell to Summit League leader, South Dakota, in straight sets (22-25, 17-25, 11-25) and was edged by North Dakota in a five-set battle (24-26,20-25, 25-23, 26-24, 12-15).

In the match versus South Dakota,
Crystal Burk recorded a double-double with 13 digs and 10 kills.
Makenzie Hennen added 10 kills.

Against North Dakota, a trio of Jackrabbits reached double figures in kills, led by
Ashlynn Smith with 17. Burk and Hennen added 16 and 15 kills, respectively.
Madison Fay posted a season-best 45 assists. Hennen, Burk and Fay each registered a double-double.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Purdue Fort Wayne
Purdue Fort Wayne holds an overall record of 16-12 and a 10-4 record in Summit League play, good for third in the Summit League standings. Last week, The Mastodons were edged by Omaha (3-1) and defeated Oral Roberts (3-0). Katie Crowe heads the offense with 368 kills, averaging 3.35 kills per set. Crowe also as accumulated a team-best 32 service aces. Rachael Crucis leads the way for the Mastodons with 504 digs, while Crowe and Sidney Schiller add 337 and 260 digs, respectively. Ranking first on the Purdue Fort Wayne squad and second in the Summit League with 108 blocks is Sydney Boerst.

Steve Florio is in his sixth season at the helm of the Mastodons with a record of 238-115. The Jackrabbits are 6-25 all-time against the 'Dons. Earlier this season, Purdue Fort Wayne edged State at home, 3-2 (23-25, 25-19, 17+25, 25-22, 12-15).

Omaha
The Mavericks are 16-12 overall this season with a 9-5 Summit League mark. Most recently, Omaha defeated Purdue Fort Wayne (3-1) and Western Illinois (3-0). Isabella Sade leads the offensive efforts for the Mavericks with 368 kills and 37 service aces. Sadie Limback and Anna Blaschko add 333 and 291 kills, respectively. As a team, Omaha is hitting .232 compared to its opponents at .180. Sami Clarkson supports the offense with 904 assists, while Jaclyn Taylor has a total of 268 assists. Claire Mountjoy has accumulated 483 digs, averaging 4.51 digs per set. Rylee Marshall holds a team-best 77 blocks.

The Jackrabbits are 20-33 all-time against the Mavericks. When the two teams met earlier this season, Omaha came out on top, 3-0 (17-25, 11-25, 13-25).

HENNEN REACHES 1,000
In the third set of the match against Denver,
Makenzie Hennen became the 12th Jackrabbit all-time to reach 1,000 career kills. She needed a total of nine kills to reach the mark headed into the match and now has 1,022 kills.

Outside Hitters
- Makenzie Hennen has a total of 322 kills, 274 digs and 26 blocks. She has recorded double digit kill totals in 20 of the 26 matches the Jacks have played, while registering a double-double in 13 matches. The senior holds a hitting percentage of .132 including a career best mark of .556 in the Jacks' win over Prairie View A&M. She tied her career-best of 24 kills against Milwaukee. Hennen ranks seventh in the Summit League in kills per set (3.22) and eighth in total kills (322).
- Crystal Burk has tallied 258 kills, 20 service aces and 274 digs. She registered a career-best 20 kills against North Dakota State last weekend. Against Kansas City, she recorded a career high of 19 digs. Burk notched her 12th ever double-double against with 16 kills and 15 digs at North Dakota. The sophomore was named to the EIU Panther Invitational all-tournament team.
- Ashlynn Smith has a total of 220 kills, 92 digs, 47 blocks and 24 service aces. Smith registered her first double-double of the season against North Dakota with 11 kills and 11 digs. The senior was named to the Katrinka Crawford Invitational all-tournament team.

- A pair of freshman, in Anna Nerad and Tori Thompson, have covered the middle for the Jacks.
- Nerad has led SDSU's blocking in 14 matches including a career high of seven blocks against Louisiana Monroe. She has a total of 77 blocks, 90 kills and 47 digs.
- Thompson has tallied 140 kills and 54 blocks, including a career-best performance against Fresno State with 12 kills on a .550 hitting percentage. Thompson holds a team-best hitting clip of .248.
- During the opening weekend of Summit League play, Fryauf debut in the starting lineup. She has recorded 10 blocks and 11 kills.
- Sydney Andrews has appeared in five matches, including one start. She has recorded seven kills and three blocks

- Tatum Pickar paces the Jacks with 394 digs, averaging 3.94 digs per set. She has also posted 17 service aces. Drew McDougall has earned some playing time as a freshman and has tallied 89 digs.

- Carly Wedel and Madison Fay aid the offense with 451 and 446 assists, respectively. Wedel posted a career-best 51 assists against Milwaukee. Fay recorded a season high of 45 assists against North Dakota. She also added 14 digs to register a double-double.

POST SEASON ACCOLADES
Makenzie Hennen became the first Jackrabbit since
Ashley Beaner in 2016 and the eighth overall to earn all-league honors as she was named honorable mention All-Summit League.

After posting a 3.425 GPA as a team, the Jacks were recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association, earning the Team Academic Award for the 2018-2019 season.

SMITH, HENNEN NAMED PLAYERS TO WATCH
SDSU's
Ashlynn Smith and Mackenzie Hennen were recognized by the Summit League as 2019 Volleyball Players to Watch.

Smith started 25 of 29 matches for South Dakota State last season, finishing second on the team in kills (251) and kills per set (2.46). The Laporte, Indiana native recorded a pair of double-doubles and had double-digit in 10 matches.

Hennen, an All-Summit League honorable mention pick in 2018, started all 29 matches and was the team's top all-around threat. She led the Jackrabbits in kills (340), kills per set (3.27) and attempts (1,098) while sitting second in digs (281), service aces (13), digs per set (2.70) and solo blocks (seven). The Jordan, Minnesota native had two 20-kill matches, 18 10-kill matches and 13 double-doubles.
