South Dakota State swimming and diving will compete in the Augustana Invitational Nov. 21-23, Thursday-Saturday, at the Midco Aquatic Center in Sioux Falls.
The invite will consist of an eight-team field, including SDSU, South Dakota, University of Mary, Sioux Falls, Augustana, Iowa Central CC, Iowa Lakes CC and College of St. Mary.
Each day of the three-day event will hold two sessions with prelims beginning at 10 a.m. and final events at 5 p.m.
This event will wrap up the fall portion of the schedule for the Jacks with the team's next event set for Jan. 17 when the women will head to Ames, Iowa to take on Iowa State.
Last Time Out
Ashley Theobald led the women to a 162-138 victory over Omaha Nov. 8, earning her Summit League Women's Swimmer of the Week. Theobald won two events vs. Omaha, including the 400 IM, breaking the Marshall Center pool record in a time of 4:37.65, and also taking gold in the 50 free (24.26).
Emily Pincus also placed first in two events, coming off women's swimmer of the week honors herself. The junior won her third 500 free event this season (5:11.31) and her second 200 free (1:54.92).
