JACKRABBITS MEN'S INDOOR PRESEASON ATHLETES TO WATCH LIST
Trent Francom | Junior | Pole Vault
Last season, Trent Francom became the first Jackrabbit to reach 17 feet in the pole vault, passing Reagan Francom's 16-06.75 mark from 2017. Francom owns both the indoor and outdoor school record marks in the pole vault and earned All-League honors at last year's indoor championships.Â
Joseph Minor-Williams | Sophomore | Distance
Joseph Minor-Williams comes into the indoor track and field schedule after a successful cross country season where he was named Summit League Men's Cross Country Athlete of the year. Minor-Williams earned All-League honors in the 5K at last year's indoor championships.Â
Sam Zenner | Senior | Sprints
Senior Sam Zenner earned All-League honors in the 60m dash as well as the 200 at last year's indoor championships. Zenner was awarded Men's Championship Most Outstanding Performance for his wins and meet records in those events, where he picked up 20 points for the Jacks on their way to their first Summit League Indoor Track and Field championship title. Zenner owns the school record in the 60m dash with a time of 6.77 and the 200 with a time of 21.00.
Coby Hilton | Junior | Sprints
Another All-League honoree in the 200, Coby Hilton holds the Jacks' third fastest 60m dash time (6.85), as well as the second fastest 200 time (21.24).
JACKRABBITS WOMEN'S INDOOR PRESEASON ATHLETES TO WATCH LIST
Oksana Covey | Junior | Middle Distance
Oksana Covey owns the SDSU school indoor record in the 600 with a time of 1:32.38, as well as the eighth all-time fastest mark in the 400 with a 57.19. Last outdoor season, Covey broke the 28-year-old school record in the 800 when she cut off 0.15 seconds from Kim Fordham's 2:06.24 mark from 1991. She earned All-League honors as a member of the 4x400 team from last year's indoor championships and was a member of the No. 9 all-time fastest distance medley relay.Â
Addison Eisenbeisz | Sophomore | JumpsÂ
Addison Eisenbeisz finished sixth overall in the women's high jump at her first indoor championships last year with a height of 5-04.50. She holds the eighth all-time height in the high jump at 5-07.00.
SUMMIT LEAGUE PRESEASON POLL
The Summit League has also released its preseason poll. The defending indoor champion Jackrabbit men were tabbed to finish first again this season with 24 points and four of six possible first place votes, while the women picked up 22 points and are tabbed to finish third.Â
