The official home opener for the South Dakota State University baseball team will have to wait another week as current adverse field conditions at Erv Huether Field have forced changes to the schedule.

Wednesday's scheduled home opener against Dakota State has been postponed. No makeup date has been determined.

In addition, this weekend's series against Summit League-leading Omaha has been moved to Sioux Falls and will be played over two days. The series opener is now set for a 2 p.m. first pitch Friday at Karras Park Home of Ronken Field on the Augustana University campus. The series will conclude with a doubleheader Saturday, starting at 1 p.m.

SDSU enters the week with a 14-10 overall record and a second-place mark of 7-2 in The Summit League.

The next possible date for the Jackrabbits' official home opener would be April 9 against Dakota Wesleyan. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m. at Erv Huether Field.
