The South Dakota State Track and Field program returns home on Saturday for a Summit League showdown when the Jacks take on the Fighting Hawks of North Dakota. The meet is set to begin at 2 p.m. at the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex and will consist of six field events and nine running events. A schedule of the day's events can be found

This is the first competition for the Jackrabbits since the SDSU Holiday Invite and Multi on Dec. 6 and 7 where the Jackrabbit men finished second out of 12 in team scoring, while the women finished third out of 12. Individually, 13 Jacks on the men's side found their performances landing them a spot in the program's top 10 list, while the women added five new marks good enough for a place in the top 10 lists.
On the men's side, Manny Phoulom-Smith turned in a 6.91 in the 60m dash to claim the seventh-best time in program history,
Reid Pierzinski ran an 8.19 in the 60m hurdles to grab the fifth all-time mark and
Caleb Bray (No. 2, 34.59),
Cameron Kuil (No. 3, 34.99) and
Landon Larson (No. 7 35.33) all found themselves in the Jackrabbits top 10 for the 300.Â
In the field events,
Trent Francom passed his personal best mark in the pole vault to take the No. 1 spot from himself when he cleared 17-00.75. His previous best was 17-00.00.
Daniel Clarke jumped for a distance of 24-00.25 in the long jump to take third place on the all-time list.
Multi-event athlete
Evan Hieber picked up 5,138 to maintain his position at second place all-time (previous best was 5,126 points), while
Josh Donahoe scored a personal best 4,112 points, beating his own personal best of 4,091 to keep his position at eighth all-time.Â
In the throws,
Dominick Etherington blew past the previous all-time mark in the shot put with a throw of 59-00.25 and

Noah Huber picking up fifth at 56-02.75. Huber also claimed the fourth-best mark in the weight throw with a distance of 61-11.00.
