Jackrabbit Football Saturdays, presented by First PREMIER Bank and Premier Bankcard, continues with South Dakota State's landmark 2007 victory over North Dakota State as the featured game.
Coverage runs from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday on WNAX 570 AM, with additional access online at GoJacks.com/Watch and through the Jackrabbit app, which is available for download through the Apple and Play stores. Throughout the re-broadcast of the game, a panel consisting of head coach John Stiegelmeier and key players Ryan Berry, Cory Koenig and Jimmy Rogers will provide additional insight and commentary.
Played before a then-record crowd of 16,345 at Coughlin-Alumni Stadium, SDSU held on for a 29-24 victory over the top-ranked and undefeated Bison in the season finale to claim both the Dakota Marker and the Great West Football Conference championship. The conference title was the first for a Jackrabbit football team since 1963.
Accompanying the broadcast are a variety of interactive features on Jackrabbit football-related social media accounts and the Jackrabbit app, including video highlights, facts about that week's game and the chance to win prizes.
Among the interactive features is a "Where Were You??" segment, in which fans can share their best stories and memories from the game. The winning story will be featured on the Jackrabbit Football Saturdays radio broadcast, with winners also receiving a Jackrabbit hat and a $25 Cubby's Sports Bar and Grill gift card. Entries each week must be received Thursdays by 5 p.m. Central Time to be included in the contest.
