RAIHLE TABBED MEN'S DIVER OF THE YEAR BY LEAGUE

SIOUX FALLS – South Dakota State diver Mitch Raihle was named the Summit League's Men's Diver of the Year Thursday afternoon, as announced by the league office.
The senior is the first Jackrabbit to earn the award on either the men's or women's side. Raihle capped an outstanding season by earning gold for the second straight year in the men's 3-meter dive at the 2020 Summit League Championships and placing second in the 1-meter. That performance earned him Men's Diving Championship MVP for having led all men's divers in point total with 37.
Raihle was also named All-Summit League for the third time in his career for his success at conference. On Jan. 28, he earned male diver of the week honors from the league after having won both the 1-meter and 3-meter in a Jan. 25 dual meet vs. South Dakota.
The Spring Lake Park, Minn. native ended his senior campaign at the NCAA Zones Diving Championships, qualifying for the event for his second time. Over the 2019-20 season, Raihle won the 3-meter dive four times and the 1-meter three times.
