Jackrabbit Football Saturdays, presented by First PREMIER Bank and Premier Bankcard, continues this week with the 2017 regular season finale between South Dakota State and South Dakota as the featured game.
Coverage runs from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday on WNAX 570 AM, with additional access online at GoJacks.com/watch and through the Jackrabbit app, which is available for download through the Apple and Play stores. Throughout the re-broadcast of the game, a panel consisting of head coach John Stiegelmeier and key players Taryn Christion, Ryan Earith, Kellen Soulek and Jake Wieneke will provide additional insight and commentary.
The 31-28 Jackrabbit victory in the South Dakota Showdown Series at the DakotaDome in Vermillion allowed SDSU to secure the No. 5 seed in that season's Football Championship Subdivision playoffs with a 9-2 regular season mark. The Jackrabbits would go on to reach the national semifinals for the first time that postseason, finishing with a school-record 11 wins against three losses.
Accompanying the broadcast are a variety of interactive features on Jackrabbit football-related social media accounts and the Jackrabbit app, including video highlights, facts about that week's game and the chance to win prizes.
Among the interactive features is a "Where Were You??" segment, in which fans can share their best stories and memories from the game. The winning story will be featured on the Jackrabbit Football Saturdays radio broadcast, with winners also receiving a Jackrabbit hat and a $25 Cubby's Sports Bar and Grill gift card. Entries each week must be received Thursdays by 5 p.m. Central Time to be included in the contest.
