The South Dakota State equestrian team wrapped up a successful week of home action Friday with a 15-1 victory over Minnesota Crookston in head-to-head competition at the DeHaan Equestrian Center. The Jackrabbits swept three of the four events en route to the victory.

SDSU won all eight matchups in the Western discipline on Thursday, then earned victories in seven of the eight jumping seat matchups in Friday competition. Shelby Cochran earned Most Outstanding Performer honors in horsemanship with a score of 75, with Isabelle Riggs taking home MOP accolades in reining with a score of 73.5.

Other winners in reining for the Jackrabbits were Kasey Bogie (73), Amelia Nelson (72.5) and Natalie Gydesen (71).

Turning to the jumping seat events, SDSU swept the flat competition with Margaret Franke leading the way with a score of 81 to earn MOP recognition. Julia Werkhoven (80.5), Rachel Head (79.5) and Ashley Hess (71.5) also won their individual matchups.

Three Jackrabbit riders posted scores of 80 or more en route to victories in fences. Cali Karbler was tabbed as MOP with a score of 82, with Werkhoven adding a score of 82. Rachel Darby won her matchup on Duke with a score of 80.

Kiera Boedigheimer picked up the lone victory for Minnesota Crookston by edging Franke, 81-78.

The Jackrabbits return to action Nov. 19-20 with head-to-head competition against Delaware State and UC Davis in Dover, Del.
